I’m halfway through your podcast about using an ohm meter and I wanted to make you aware about using it to verify if a vehicle has a parasitic battery drain. Dave Hobbs from Delphi Technologies presented it on Sunday morning at Vision. He uses the method to confirm that there is a parasitic drain before doing any testing. I’d be happy to share the information with you. I’m sure that Dave would be okay with it but if you want, I’ll check with him first. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Dave for several years. Let me know and I’ll be happy to pass along the information.

  2. Wanted to share the continuity feature of the Fluke 289. I can select the meter to tone on either NO or NC and the meter screen indicates your selection using an animated piece of wire either one piece (whole) indicating continuity or a broken wire indicating dis-continuity. This meter is insane, Another feature you would like is the “Lo Ohms” selection which imposes a load on the circuit that the regular ohmmeter selection does not! <—– How cool is that? Your discussion on using ohmmeter for CAN "before" scoping is a real time saver. Very cool. I listened to all of it at 1.5x w/o the visual aid of a video. That was an accomplishment for somebody with ADHD, lol. I'm going to check out your Youtube channel for sure.
