Hi Sean, I went throgh a similar situation with 2 ford interceptor vehicles. One utility vehicle bought used at auction, customer complaint was that it had no abs and no code stored. The other was a crown Victoria interceptor purchase new as a vehicle for a college president in NY. The crown Victoria was given to a new driver and he complained about no abs, no codes found.
When I had my shop (auto trans) I never saw an interceptor with abs. According to Ford tech on late interceptors all the electronics were there for abs and not programmed into them at the factory.
I rebuilt transmissions for ford that were were sold as taxis and were ordered as interceptors and not have abs operational.
I hope this helps. Love your podcast
